What a program can require of an item
- Registration first
- An item that does not exist in the registry cannot sell. Registration is the gate, not an afterthought.
- Current documentation
- Certificates and safety documentation carry expiry dates that the platform reads. Expiry suspends the item without anyone acting.
- Quantity ceilings
- Applied cumulatively per item across an order, so splitting a quantity across lines does not defeat the ceiling.
- Class membership
- An item sells only under a class the institution approved for the program it sits in.
Expiry suspends automatically
The two items expiring on 17 September move to suspended on their own, without a reminder being read or a task being picked up. A control that depends on someone noticing a date is not a control.
